September

1st - Start of the Second World War, 1939
• Second World War: Immerse yourself in the blackouts, rationing and evacuations of Home Front Britain as your class imagines what life was like for children during WW2. Read more.
2nd-6th – Great Fire of London, 1666
• Great Fire of London: Experience London in 1666 as we recreate life in Pudding Lane, meet the famous diarist Samuel Pepys and debate the rebuilding of the city. Read more.
8th – International Day of Literacy
From story quests down Dickensian streets to traditional tales from Africa and Asia, our Storytelling and Shakespeare series has something to delight all primary ages. 

 

October

1-31st - Black History Month
Teach children about individuals and events from Black History past and present, from traditional African storytelling to stepping aboard the Empire Windrush. 
4-10th – World Space Week 
To celebrate World Space Week, check out our awe-inspiring space series featuring science, storytelling and history workshops.
 
5th – World Teachers' Day
• Teacher CPD: Gain the skills and confidence to use drama as an effective teaching tool. Come away with a pratical toolbox of strategies to support your children's speaking and listening skills. Read more.
 

November

5th – Bonfire Night
• Guy FawkesJoin our Time Traveller on a journey back to 1605. Meet Guy Fawkes and the king whilst uncovering the infamous Gunpowder Plot. Read more about this popular session.
11th – Remembrance Day
Explore life in the trenches, air raids and evacuations in an engaging, sensitive and age appropriate way with our First World War or Second World War sessions. 
14th – Diwali
Celebrate the Festival of Lights with one of our mesmerising workshops. Explore the meaning and traditions of Diwali, or learn more about sacred tales including the story of Rama and Sita. Explore our Diwali workshops.
16-20th – Anti-Bullying Week
• Staying Safe: Anti-BullyingLed by the Knight of Knowledge, children look at different types of bullying and explore the best strategies for dealing with bullying. Read more.
