Bring your venue's story to life through drama

Museums

We have the pleasure of working with amazing museums and galleries every year, using the joy of drama to excite, inspire and educate children visiting their local cultural institutions. As one of the largest theatre-in-education companies in the UK, we provide high quality drama workshops and shows and can use our skills in development and delivery to support your next exhibition, theme or story.

If you’re looking for a bespoke collaboration, we can work with you to develop a workshop to help tell your museums’s unique story. Get in touch to tell us what you have in mind, we’d love to hear from you.

Or you can book one of our existing sessions. Browse our Workshops page to search for an existing session to suit your topic or theme.

This video showcases our latest collaboration with Trent Park House which you can read about further down the page:

Trent Park House

In 2023 Freshwater turned 1100 pupils into ‘Secret Listeners’ as part of an exciting collaboration with Trent Park House of Secrets in Enfield.

Before they open to the public in 2025,  the museum team wanted to engage the local community, particularly teachers and pupils. Freshwater were chosen to develop two new workshops (one for KS2, the other for KS3) to share the story of the ‘Secret Listeners’ with pupils in Enfield. We worked with Trent Park across 2023, researching, writing and delivering the workshops.

Read what Catherine Holden, Schools Manager at Trent Park House had to say about the collaboration. And read our Director, Helen Wood’s, reflections.

Dulwich Picture Gallery
We developed bespoke workshops to accompany Dulwich Picture Gallery’s Moomin and Surrealism exhibitions.
We also visited during their Haunted sleepover with some our Guy Fawkes workshops!
Guildhall Art Gallery

We had the privilege of visiting the Guildhall Art Gallery where we performed our Return of the Romans! show in London’s only real Roman amphitheatre!

The Battle of Britain Bunker

We visited The Battle of Britain Bunker with a special site-specific adaptation of our Second World War session to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the start of the Second World War.

St Albans Museum

We visited St Albans Museum with a bespoke version of our Inspiring Women workshop, focusing on women appearing in their exhibition.

Everything, from development, resourcing and delivery through to friendly and responsive communication, has been absolutely spot on. Thank you for all your hard work, I am so impressed with what you have achieved.
