The Quest for… Kings, Queens and Castles

Subject: History

Age Group: KS1

Region: London/Greater London, North West

Lower the drawbridge, cross the moat and join the Knight of Knowledge on a medieval quest to discover life inside a castle, singing regal rhymes and encountering famous kings and queens.

One facilitator visits your school in role as the Knight of Knowledge. The children will take an imaginary journey through a medieval castle, exploring its gatehouse, battlements, halls and dungeons. They will also take on the roles of different people who lived in a castle and learn about the legend of King Arthur.

The children were engaged right from the start and loved the interaction of the whole session. They couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards! Great way to hook the kids in and get them enthusiastic about the subject they are getting ready to learn.
