VE Day Assembly
The 8th May marks 80 years since VE Day and we'd be delighted to help you commemorate this landmark anniversary in your school.
“My dear children. Welcome to Sudbury Manor. Please follow me and make yourselves comfortable…”
Mrs Brown the Housekeeper has so many chores to do at Sudbury Manor, she needs your class to help before Lord Thomas, Lady Elizabeth, and their children return home.
In role as a Victorian housekeeper, our facilitator will guide your children, the ‘new servants,’ around the rooms, giving the children a chance to explore different aspects and chores of a Victorian household. If they complete the chores to Mr Brown’s satisfaction, they will finish in the Nursery, where they can play with the Victorian toys after their long ‘working’ day.
Children were engaged with the session from the start. All children had a chance to participate in the session and learnt a lot.
