Shakespeare’s Life and Times

In our Shakespeare’s Life and Times workshop, discover the playwright himself! Explore his life in Stratford and London, the Tudor period in which he wrote, and his remarkable literary legacy.

Our facilitator visits your school in role as the magical ‘spirit’ Ariel from Shakespeare’s play The Tempest. Ariel needs your help to gain freedom from Prospero, and will lead you on a journey.

Then you will explore some famous characters and identify genres of play. Finally, recreate the Globe Theatre for yourselves.

Come and discover more about the man behind the quill, in our Shakespeare’s Life and Times workshop.
