Have a great summer break!

21 Jul 2025

What a year it’s been at Freshwater Theatre Company! 🌟

We’ve had a fantastic time visiting schools, nurseries and libraries across the UK with our wide variety of workshops and shows, finding fun in learning through imagination and a bit of magic!

From London to the North West, we’ve delivered workshops to over 65,000 children! Some of our favourite moments included: –

Introducing our new ‘Breaking Barriers- Black British History Makers’ workshop for Black History Month which highlighted 5 iconic Black British figures from the past and present who helped to shape society.

Bringing our ‘Mary Seacole’ workshop back into schools, with our wonderful facilitator becoming Mary Seacole and immersing children in her brave journey in The Crimean War. We are now bringing this wonderful workshop to the West Midlands so stay tuned!

We celebrated World Book Week across the UK with our band of Storytellers, spending 52 hours delivering workshops to over 2,300 children.

We commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a special ‘VE Day Assembly’.

We celebrated Big Green Week by doing our bit for local green spaces, including watering the lovely @st.margarets.house gardens and participating in a litter pick with our friends at @cleanupUK.

We’ve loved seeing all the photos schools have taken of their pupils enjoying our workshops!

We want to thank all our fabulous facilitators and all the teachers and pupils who have joined us this year. You make our workshops shine with your enthusiasm and skills! We couldn’t do it without you! 🩷

We hope you enjoyed working with Freshwater Theatre Company.

We look forward to visiting again soon in the new academic year when we welcome 11 new facilitators to the team including in Greater London, the West Midlands, the South West and the North West!

Join us next year as Freshwater Theatre Company celebrates 30 years of delivering drama workshops and shows to schools in London and across the U.K.

Watch this space for new workshops including in secondary schools and other non-school venues.
