The Quest for… Pirates

Join our buccaneering pirate on a daring quest in this KS1 and KS2 Pirate workshop!

Yo ho ho me hearties!

Travel back in time to 1680 to find out what it was like to be part of a motley pirate crew.

In this interactive drama workshop, you will raise the Jolly Roger flag and sail around the Caribbean Seas. Then you will search for ‘booty’, avoid capture by the Navy, care for your ship, and seek safe harbour. Finally, learn about famous pirates that actually existed and go on an imaginary journey in the Golden Age of Piracy.

Faced with a series of games and challenges, you must prove your bravery and expertise in order to become a pirate yourself. Will you have what it takes? Or will you have to walk the plank, in this KS1 and KS2 Pirate workshop?

Or practice your sea legs at the National Maritime Museum in London.

Definitely a great stimulus to explore our topic I took lots of notes and lines of enquiry to build on from her starting points.
