Shakespeare’s Plays

Introduce your class to Shakespeare in a fun and accessible way using movement and vocalisation. Bring one of the Bard’s famous plays to life, exploring the plot, experimenting with the language and taking on a host of captivating characters.

Choose from the following plays:

  • A Midsummer Night’s Dream (KS1 & KS2)
  • Hamlet (KS2)
  • The Merchant of Venice (KS2)
  • Macbeth (KS2)
  • Romeo and Juliet (KS2)
  • The Tempest (KS1 & KS2)
  • Twelfth Night (KS2)

All our Shakespeare’s plays workshops use original text which is woven into the workshop in a child friendly way. The children are encouraged to experiment with the sounds, rhythms and beauty of his language.

The workshop will deepen the children’s understanding of your chosen play. The teamwork format is ideal for developing communication skills and the character’ dilemmas raise the issues of morality, decision-making and choice.

Children were totally captivated and enthralled by the workshop. They have not stopped repeating some of the lines that were learnt. Totally professional.
