Children's Mental Health Week

“A very thought provoking session and a great introduction to mindfulness.” (Jane Woolley, Durston House)

Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week shines a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. Our dance workshop, Mindfulness through Movement, introduces the concept of mindfulness through creative movement activities based on meditation, thought processes, and relaxation.

Chinese New Year

“Absolutely brilliant and even taught the teachers a lot about how to deliver dance lessons.” (Robyn Buckley, Merryhills Primary School)

Bring the joy of ribbon dancing into your school hall! Led by our specialist dance facilitator, your children will delve into the Chinese New Year origin story, taking on the physicality of the animals from 'The Great Race'. They will brighten up your hall with their swirling movements, whilst holding ribbons in traditional colours.

World Book Day

“It was evident to see just how much they were enjoying it from the large smiles on their faces” (Eleni Bekiri, St Pauls Catholic Primary)

World Book Day is a Freshwater highlight! We love the annual celebration of authors, books, and the joy of reading. Join us to creep through the wardrobe, jump like Alice or stride like the Gruffalo! With your pupils we can explore a beloved literary world or introduce them to new tales which will quickly become their favourites.

International Women's Day

“I learned not only that women did great things in the past but they changed how our lives are today” (Pupil at The Granville School)

Invite a wonderful woman from history into your school and allow your pupils to be inspired by their remarkable achievements. Learn from Florence as she cleans up nursing or be empowered by Ada to get involved with coding!

British Science Week

“It exceeded my expectation. Children felt inspired with their Science ongoing learning.” (Natasha Fernandes, Southwold Primary school)

Did you know that this years British Science Week theme is 'Change and Adapt'? We have sessions focusing on Evolution, Seasonal Changes and Lifecycles. If you'd like to approach the theme from a different angle, our geography Environment Alert! workshop addresses one of the most pressing problems of our time.

Shakespeare Week

“Children were totally captivated. They have not stopped repeating some of the lines that were learnt.” (Kathryn Grundy, Hylands Primary School)

At Freshwater we think the best way to explore Shakespeare's plays is on your feet, experimenting, collaborating and playing! Our experienced facilitator will lead your pupils through drama activities to bring the language, setting and characters off the page.

International Mother Language Day

“The children were fully engaged and participated extremely well. They enjoyed being part of the story.” (Jean Martin, Prince’s Mead School)

This year, the theme for International Mother Language Day is 'Language Technologies for All' (LT4All); highlighting the importance of linguistic diversity and accessibility! Our expert facilitators can't wait to work with your pupils to explore classic stories; seamlessly blending French, Spanish or German with English!
