Travel back to 1899 in our interactive KS1 and KS2 Victorian School workshop!
Experience what life was like for a child living in Victorian England, and be immersed in the authentic atmosphere of a ‘Board School’ in our popular Victorian Schooldays workshop.
Think school is hard now? It’s nothing compared to the lessons a Victorian schoolchild would have experienced!
Our strict teacher will lead you through traditional classes in handwriting, drill, and arithmetic. But beware! Those who forget the golden rule, “speech is silver, silence is golden,” may find themselves subject to the dreaded punishments of the era!
· Are you slouching in an unsightly, slovenly manner? The BACK-BOARD is most appropriate to fix this!
· Found fiddling with fingers or counting on them instead of in your heads? It will be the FINGER-STOCKS for you!
· Speaking without thinking, giving an ignorant or ill-considered answer? On with the DUNCE’S CAP!
Suitable for pupils in KS1 and KS2, our engaging Victorian School drama workshop offers a memorable, hands-on way to explore life in Victorian Britain.
Bring history to life in a lesson you’ll never forget!
