The Quest for… Early Ages

Subject: History

Age Group: KS2

Region: London/Greater London, North West, West Midlands

Accompanied by our Time Traveller, travel back to meet Britain’s earliest residents in this KS2 Early Ages workshop!

Using activities such as role-play and tableaux, your KS2 class will discover what life was like in Stone Age Britain, experiencing life as hunter gatherers and early farmers. Then, moving through time to the Iron Age, they will visit an iron forge, meet druids and receive an important message from the Chieftain . . .

Why choose Freshwater?

Our sessions:

  • Are highly interactive, offering hands-on learning, which allows all your pupils to access the topic.
  • Add depth and richness to the curriculum and stimulate further learning.
  • Use carefully chosen drama techniques, so that children feel a personal involvement in the topic which helps to embed subject knowledge.
  • Allow the teacher an opportunity to observe pupils’ progress from a different perspective.
  • Are led by experienced drama facilitators who immerse the children in an imaginative world, helping to make learning fun!

Read our blog post about why we think drama is such an important tool for exploring the history curriculum.
