VE Day Assembly
The 8th May marks 80 years since VE Day and we'd be delighted to help you commemorate this landmark anniversary in your school.
Bring your bucket, spade, and imagination to this KS1 Drama Workshop – Seaside Journeys! In this fun-filled drama session, we go on a journey of British seaside history.
Meet Punch and Judy in 1910, learn what holidays were like during the war, explore seaside activities in 1950, and take a trip to a 1970’s Butlin’s Holiday Camp. What was a Glamorous Granny competition? When did we start using sun cream? How were ‘selfies’ taken before mobile phones?
Our facilitator uses roleplay, singing, puppetry and mime to answer these questions in our KS1 Drama Workshop.
We can’t guarantee it won’t rain (it is Britain after all), but we can guarantee that everyone will have fun exploring holidays from the Victorian era to the present day.
“Hi de hi, ho de ho, we’re off to the seaside, here we go!”

Alternatively, if you’re searching for somewhere warmer, why not book our St Lucia: An Overseas Locality workshop!
The children were engaged right from the start and loved the interaction of the whole session. They couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards! Great way to hook the kids in and get them enthusiastic about the subject they are getting ready to learn.
